Starburst - abstract wood sculpture
"Starburst" is a striking piece. The colors and texture of this wood root are amazing. The wood came from our property here in Vermont. When I harvested it, it was covered with deadwood, dirt, and moss (see before photo). I cleaned it up and sanded away the old gray wood and cleaned out the interior to uncover this outstanding colored root. The sculpture is an intricate display of movement, color, luminosity, and texture. My job was to uncover the beauty within, and it is indeed a beauty.
This sculpture has no base because it can be shown in every direction, giving you the option of changing its appearance anytime you'd like.

The wood sculpture is very striking. The finish really brings out the colors and striations in the wood and is very well done. It is a substantial piece, and looks great on our sofa table. Shipped quickly.
